Overview of the Interactions in the Creator

In the Creator, you can use a wide range of interactions to make your training engaging and effective. Below is an overview of all available interactions, divided by type.

The interactions are grouped into three main categories:

  • Informative pop-ups: For explanations and media

  • Interactive quizzes: For knowledge, recognition, and application

  • Narrative and guidance: For storyline, interaction, and atmosphere

 

1. Informative pop-ups

Interaction What is it? What does it do? When to use? Tips & Inspiration
Message popup Pop-up with a text message. Displays a message. Player clicks "play" to continue. To provide explanations, feedback, or instructions. Keep it short and impactful! Use for key info that shouldn’t be skipped.
Image popup Pop-up with an image. Displays an image. Player clicks "play" to continue. To show infographics, labels, visual explanations. Use clear, contextual images.
Video popup Pop-up with a video clip. Displays a video. Player clicks "play" to continue. Instructional videos, atmosphere, example scenarios. Keep videos short.
PDF popup Pop-up with a PDF document. Displays a PDF. Player clicks "play" to continue. Manuals, background info, technical explanations. Make sure it’s readable on mobile.
Audio popup Pop-up with audio. Plays audio. Player clicks "play" to continue. Multilingual explanations, audio support. Only .ogg format is supported.
Slideshow Slideshow with multiple images. Player can browse through images. Step-by-step guides, process visualization, showing evolution. Limit to 3–5 slides to maintain focus.

 

2. Interactive quizzes

Multiple Choice Quiz Multiple-choice question. Player selects one correct answer, clicks "play" to confirm. Knowledge checks, basic assessments. Include both correct and incorrect options.
Multiselect Quiz Multiple correct answers. Player selects several correct answers, then clicks "play". For more complex knowledge questions. Provide clear feedback in the following bubble.
Multiple Choice Graphics Quiz Visual multiple-choice question. Player selects the correct image. Recognition, visual-based decisions. Use clear and meaningful images.
Multiselect Graphics Quiz Visual multiselect question. Player selects multiple correct images. Visual observation, real-life identification. Add text to images as extra guidance.
Order Quiz Put items in the correct order. Player selects items in the correct sequence. For processes, prioritization. Great for step-by-step procedures.
Order Graphics Quiz Put images in the correct order. Player arranges images in the right sequence. Visual processes or action sequences. Use numbered images for clarity.
Connect Quiz Link text items together. Player matches related items. To show relationships or link concepts. Stick to 3–5 pairs.
Connect Graphics Quiz Match text to images. Player matches the correct text with an image. Combine visual recognition and understanding. Use recognizable visuals.
Scrabble Quiz Guess a word with scrambled letters. Player drags letters to form the word. Terminology, spelling, key concepts. Shorter words make for smoother gameplay.
Word Spinner Quiz Fill in the blank. Player selects the right word from a dropdown. Grammar, logic, numbers, contextual understanding. Ideal for grammar, logic, or technical terms.
Click Region Order Quiz Click invisible zones in the correct order. Combines observation with sequencing. Process understanding in a space (e.g. first aid steps). Show correct numbers during creation for accuracy.
Click Region MC Quiz Click the correct invisible zone(s). Player selects correct areas on an image. Visual search, spot-the-error tasks. Combine with pop-up feedback.
Word Quiz Drag correct words into a sentence. Understand and complete a sentence. For language, terminology, comprehension. Suitable for theory-based modules.
Photo Range Quiz Click the right area in a photo. Tests understanding of a visual situation. Recognizing procedures, spotting mistakes. Provide clear instructions beforehand.
Button Quiz MC question with direct feedback. Feedback appears immediately after selection. Quick interaction with instant learning effect. Keep feedback short and clear.
Image Button Quiz Visual MC question with persistent options. Interact with images without interrupting flow. Immediate feedback in realistic scenarios. Works well with real-life environments.
Statement Quiz Statements with 2–5 options (e.g. true/false). Player selects what applies. Opinion polling, knowledge checks, reflection. Ideal for reflection or assessments.

 

3. Narrative, guidance and atmosphere

Lisa message Message from mascot Lisa with audio. Lisa addresses the player with explanation, hints, or atmosphere. Warm guidance, extra instructions, hints. Use Lisa strategically for pacing and support.
Marker Clickable interactive dot. Player must click to continue. Highlighting objects, initiating navigation. Make it visible but not too obvious.
Click region Invisible clickable area on screen. Player must find and click the hidden zone. Observation, attention, hidden objects. Provide hints beforehand via instruction or Lisa.
Ambient audio Background sound. Plays automatically in the environment. Atmosphere, background noise, stress simulation. Balance it well with other media. It's audible only.
