SCORM Process for Play It

Play It currently supports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004.

SCORM Process Overview

The SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) process facilitates the seamless integration and deployment of e-learning content within Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • Exporting SCORM Package from Play It Portal:
Courses are exported as SCORM packages from the Play It Portal.

  • Adding Package to LMS:
SCORM packages are imported/uploaded into the LMS platform.

  • Launching via LMS:
Users access courses through the LMS interface.
Courses launch either in a new browser page or in the same browser window, depending on the LMS.

  • Account Creation and Course Linking
For new users, a new account is created upon first access.
Relevant courses associated with the SCORM package are linked to the user's account.
Existing users have courses assigned based on their learner ID.

  • Engaging with Courses:
Users interact with course content contained within the SCORM package.

  • Tracking Completion:
Upon course completion, relevant data including completion status, scores, and time spent are automatically transmitted back to the LMS.

  • Support and Issue Resolution:
Users encountering difficulties or requiring assistance regarding courses or SCORM implementation can contact support@playitsafe.eu for resolution.

Additional Information:

  • The data received by Play It via SCORM integration is limited. The "Learner ID" from the LMS is converted into a 32-randomized key in the system.
  • Users have the option to choose a nickname but can continue without setting one; the 32-character key will be used to refer to them.
  • Administrators cannot link these keys to specific users.
  • Authentication is based on the Learner ID from the LMS; it is not necessary for users to input separate passwords for the Play It Platform.
