# How to Add a 360° Photo to the Play it Creator

## From capturing photos with the Insta360 camera to building your course

> **Note:** This article uses an Insta360 camera as an example. You can use any camera that produces a correctly formatted 360° image compatible with the Play it Creator.

This guide explains how to take a 360° photo, export it in the correct format, and add it to a Bubble in the Play it Creator.

1\. **Take your 360° photos**

1. Power on your Insta360 camera.
2. We recommend using the **Insta360 mobile app** to control the camera and take your photos.
3. Open the Insta360 app and connect to your camera by selecting the camera button in the app. Once connected, you can use your phone as a remote control for the camera.
4. Make sure the camera is set to **Photo mode**. Insta360 cameras may start in Video mode by default. Scroll through the available modes until **Photo** is selected. **Important:** The Play it Creator does not support 360° video.

5. Take all the photos you need for your training course.
6. Review your photos in the Insta360 app and make sure you are satisfied with them before continuing.

**2. Transfer the photos to your computer**

Before you can upload your 360° photos to the Play it Creator, they need to be exported on a desktop or laptop computer.

1. Open **Insta360 Studio** on your computer.
2. Connect the Insta360 camera to your computer using a USB cable. We recommend using the cable supplied with the camera, as some third-party USB cables only support charging and cannot transfer files.
3. Insta360 Studio should detect the camera automatically.
4. Select **Import All** to import all photos from the camera, or manually select the photos you want to import.

We use Insta360 Studio because it allows you to view, edit, and export your 360° images in a format that can be used in the Play it Creator.

**3. Optional: Add a watermark**

You can add a watermark or logo before exporting your photos.

A watermark can be useful for:

- Covering the tripod at the bottom of the 360° image.
- Adding your organization's branding to the training experience.

To use a watermark, import the original **.insp** file into Insta360 Studio.

Configure the watermark on one image and then select **Apply to all** if you want to use the same watermark position and settings on multiple photos.

**4. Export the 360° photos**

1. In Insta360 Studio, select **Export** in the top-right corner.

2. In the export window, select **Panoramic Photo**.

3. Set the resolution to:**3000 × 1500**This provides a good balance between image quality and file size for users viewing the training on mobile devices.
4. Select **Export**.

Your photos will be added to the export queue and processed one by one.

When the export is complete, you can find the finished images in the folder you selected during the export process.

Your 360° photos are now ready to use in the Play it Creator.

**5. Add the 360° photo to the Play it Creator**

1. Go to **[https://create.playit.training](https://create.playit.training/)** and log in.
2. Select **New Training**, or open an existing training course.

6. Once the image has finished uploading, select it.

The Creator will create a new Bubble using your 360° image.
